2010: Year of Biodiversity

2010 was proclaimed "International Year of Biodiversity by the United Nations.
But why?

Without animals, trees and plants, how could man survive?
Thanks to the flora that captures the carbon dioxide to produce oxygen that we breathe.
Thanks to soil fertility and fertilization of plants to provide us the food we eat.
Thanks to renewable resources such as wood that we can warm ourselves, not to mention the aesthetic wonders that we lavish nature.

Yet this biodiversity is threatened.
Human activities generate pollution that changes the lives of wildlife and flora. The territories are dwindling before the urban development and deforestation threatens the survival of animals.

Fortunately, there is still time to rectify the situation. The Earth Organization
anime discussions to sensitize the public to change their behavior to provide a better future for future generations that which is already emerging.

Rendezvous April 20 for a great debate with Lawrence Anthony, founder of The Earth Organization and author of "The Ark of Babylon, the incredible rescue of the Baghdad Zoo during wartime."
